What we do
We are a department that works for solely for the people. The matters which we occupy ourselves with affect the daily lives of all Newcreesians.
Urban planning
The DIA organizes the Urban Planning Committee (DIA-UPC), which handles roads, signage, street mapping and naming, conventions and so much more.
Public Safety
All emergency services are immediately governed by the DIA. Police, ambulance and firefighting units report to us and get organized through mutual decisions.
Culture
We advertise Newcreesian culture through events, festivities and products, not only in Newcrest but internationally. Learn more about Culture in the DIA.
